Painting Workshops
Join Guam artist, Judy Flores for an afternoon of batik in her garden studio near Inarajan, Guam.
Your ticket price includes material for 4 projects. Choose from making scarves, suncatchers or banners. This is an opportunity to work in a small group with one of Guam’s most well known artists in her home studio in beautiful southern Guam. No experience is necessary.

1. $30 - INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP Time: 1 1/2 hours.
No previous experience required.
Includes a batik demonstration and hands-on practice. Participants will create a silk suncatcher to take home. Those who finish quickly and want to do a second piece (suncatcher or scarf) may do so for an additional $5.
2. $55 - EXPLORING BATIK TECHNIQUES Time: 3 hours.
No previous experience required.
Participants will create up to 4 silk scarves and/or suncatchers. They will see demonstrations and then experiment with techniques of wax resist, color blending, salt and water effects, and wax crackle to create the typical batik veining effect.
- Workshops are open to participants of all ages. Children under age 12
must be accompanied by a parent.
All workshops take place at Judy's Tonggan Garden Studio - a lush, garden setting with lots of plants and trees to inspire creativity.
